Melrose, MA – Dawn M. (Wuensch) Hosford, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 9th, 2020 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Born in Holyoke to the late Helmuth and Madeline (Boyle) Wuensch, she was a 1953 graduate of Holyoke High School. Dawn was a proud lifelong resident of Holyoke, moving to Melrose, MA three years ago. Dawn was employed with the PeoplesBank in the Loan Servicing Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. She was a lifelong member of the United Congregational Church of Holyoke, formerly the Second Congregational Church, where she served as Treasurer and in the Women’s Fellowship. Dawn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter N. Hosford in 2005. She is survived by her three loving children, Laurie Morin and her husband Deane of Holyoke, Amy Hosford-Swan and her husband Keith of Melrose, MA and Attorney Geoffrey Hosford of Leland, NC; Nana to eight adored grandchildren, Madeline and Victoria Morin, Ian, Aidan and Jacob Swan and Hope, Hadley and Hayden Hosford; and by one great-grandchild, Aaron Williams. All services and burial were private for the family per Dawn’s request. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
