DAVID R. WHITE 1953-2017 David White, 64, of Westfield, passed away at his home on November 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma. He was born in Gloversville, NY on August 21, 1953, a son of the late Leroy and Jacqueline (Beaudry) White. He graduated from Holyoke High School in 1972. David served honorably in the US Air Force and Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. He received an Associate�s Degree in computer programming from Holyoke Community College. He worked for many years at Phoenix Companies in Hartford, CT. He was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed traveling, road stop attractions, museums, BBQs, and good draft beer. He loved gardening and golfing, but especially loved his time with family. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Daley) White; 3 daughters: Katie (White) Brady and her husband Sean, Samantha White and her significant other Garrett Kopeski, and Michelle White; 2 grandchildren: Seamus Brady and Piper Brady; his brother Stephen White and wife Judy, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. David cherished his family and has left all who had the privilege of knowing him with an understanding and valuable lesson that life is for living. His smile and laugh will encompass the memories that will now be cherished forever. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10AM in St. Patrick�s Church, 30 Main St., South Hadley, MA 01075. The burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
