David J. Struthers

David J. Struthers 1946-2009 HOLYOKE- David �Pie� J. Struthers, 63, a longtime Holyoke resident, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in Holyoke Medical Center with his family by his side. Dave was born in Springfield on February 28, 1946, a son of Victoria R. (Rajecki) Harris of South Carolina, and the late Philip J. Struthers. He attended Holyoke schools and graduated from the former Holyoke Trade High School. Dave was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and obtained the rank of Specialist 5th Class. He retired from Eureka Labs in Holyoke. Dave enjoyed hot rods, but his true passion was painting. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and vibrant personality. Besides his mother, Dave is survived by a brother, Philip J. Struthers, and his wife Debra and their family of Raleigh, NC; his step-father, John Harris of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, close family members and friends. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave�s memory to a charity of one�s choice.
