Carmen Lucille Faircloth peacefully passed away at home on Friday March 21, 2025, in Cranston Rhode Island, surrounded by her family that loved her, including her daughter, Michelle Marie Faircloth Frament, son-in-law, Ian Hunter Frament, and grandson, Hunter William Frament. Carmen, also known as Memère, was born in Holyoke Ma. on May 14, 1931, and graduated from Sainte Anne’s Academy, Marlborough Ma. and the Catholic University of America, Washington DC in 1949. She was a devout Roman Catholic, becoming a Postulate of the Sisters of Sainte-Anne in Canada. Carmen married her beloved husband William E. Faircloth “Bill” of Holyoke Ma. on August 11, 1956. They shared many memories for 50 years. She had her own business in alterations of women's and men’s clothes. She enjoyed painting, calligraphy, gardening and traveling. She taught her grandson, Hunter, how to speak French fluently. Carmen loved her beloved cats, squirrels, and dog “Coco”. Rescuing many kittens, she helped them live a full life. Carmen was a great mom and friend. She was always ready for an adventure and quick with a helping hand. Carmen was a joy to be around and smiled often. To know her was to love her! She will be thought of often and very missed. Carmen’s funeral mass will be held on Thursday March 27th at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church 1945 Northampton St., Holyoke, followed by committal in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
