HOLYOKE – Carl G. Bendiksen, 95, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Holyoke Health Care Center. He was born in Shakopee, MN on January 29, 1915 to the late George and Mette (Christensen) Bendiksen. Carl served our country in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. Carl was predeceased by his wife, Josephine (Tomala); his son Harold and his three daughters, Carlene, Holly and Bonnie. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Joyce Krause and her husband Gary of Holyoke; his six grandchildren and his nine great-grandchildren. All services will be private and burial will be at a later date in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
