Bruce R. Butman

Southampton – Bruce Robert Butman, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday November 27th, 2022 in the arms of his loving daughter and with his family by his side.
Born in Springfield to Warren and Marie (Lacroix) Butman, he was a longtime area resident.
Bruce served his country honorably in the United States Army where he completed a tour in Vietnam. Throughout his career, Bruce worked as a Technician in Electronic Manufacturing. Bruce was a true family man, as they always came first in his life. He enjoyed many outdoor adventures with his son David, as well as weekend fishing trips with his brother and cousins, and weekday fishing with his buddy Mike.

Bruce spent many wonderful summers with his children at the beach in New Hampshire, and he continued making the summer trips with his granddaughters. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Toni (Keach) Butman of Southampton; his two children, Laura Butman of Agawam and David Butman of Southampton; brother, Donald Butman and his wife Michele of Chicopee; three granddaughters, Ariana, Rylie, and Mireille as well as several nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Monday December 5th from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke with an 11 a.m. celebration of life service at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
