Barbara Ann Kenney

Barbara Ann (Kaciak) Kenney passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the age of 80, with her loving family at her side in the comfort of her home in Granby, MA.
Barbara was born on May 31, 1944, in Wadersloh, Germany, a loving daughter to Stefan and Martha Kaciak.
She immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of ten, becoming a resident of Holyoke for over 30 years. She later moved to Gilmanton, NH where she resided until returning to Granby, MA to live with her family for the last several years.
Barbara had many hobbies and interests in life which included gardening, her love for animals, and enjoying time with friends and family. She also had a strong passion for holiday decorating and had a cellar full of bins to prove so. Most recently she truly enjoyed spending time with her friends on Friday’s playing bingo at the Holyoke Senior Center. She was grateful for the friendships she made there.
She enjoyed a good laugh, a reminder that no one was safe around April Fools Day and beyond. Barbara had a strong magnetic personality that was full of love and kindness. She will truly be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
She is survived by her son Richard Lempke and wife Darlene of Granby, her daughter Donna Lemire of Manchester NH, and predeceased by her youngest son, Charles Lempke of Gilmanton NH, who has been waiting to be with his mother again. She also has four cherished grandchildren, Erika, Joey, Emily, and Elliot Lempke, and brothers Alexander Kaciak of Hadley and Thaddeus Kaciak of Holyoke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
