Barbara A. Young 1936 � 2009 Agawam � Mrs. Barbara A. (Sutherby) Young, 72, died on Saturday, June 6 at the Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Gardner, MA on August 23, 1936, the daughter of the late James and Helen (Kercell) Sutherby. She was a former forty year Holyoke resident, most recently of Agawam, and retired after twenty five years of service from the Holyoke Kmart. Barbara will be remembered as someone devoted to her beloved family and her pets. She was the wife of the late George Young. She is survived by her four sons, James, Gary, Brian Sr., and Christopher. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Steven, Heather, Jessica, Brian Jr., Justin, Amy, Christopher Jr., Carlene, and Michael, four great grandchildren Alexis, Logan, Emily, and Kylee. She was predeceased by one grandson, Michael. All services are private and the Messier Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
