Holyoke – Aureliano Rosado Garcia, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2020, at his daughter’s home with his loving family at his side. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, Aureliano was a longtime Holyoke resident. While living in Puerto Rico, Aureliano worked in the farming industry. He enjoyed playing pool, dominos, singing, and was a faithful and loving husband, father, and friend. He was predeceased a few weeks ago by his beloved wife of 80 years, Rosa Garcia. He is survived by his children who will miss him dearly: five sons, Heriberto Garcia (Antonia), Hermes Garcia (Helen), Manuel Garcia (Zenaida), Ramon Garcia (Ciria), and Aurelio Garcia; seven daughters, Aida Esther Barreto, Daisy Andino (Luis), Mirtha Santiago, Helida Medina (Thomas), Maribel Rackliff (Richard), Marissa Garcia, and Nereida Tallman (Peter); many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his son, Eliezer Garcia; daughter, Otilia Rosado; and by three grandchildren, Alexandro Garcia, Jose Pabon and Mercedes Bayron. All services are private and burial will be held in St. Jerome Cemetery, Holyoke. Messier Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
