April Gillette

SPRINGFIELD- April (Newsome) Gillette, 52, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, Baystate Medical Center. She was born April 16, 1959, Springfield, MA, a daughter of the late Jedd and Jennie (Swinicki) Newsome. April was a dedicated book keeper at Jet Industries in Agawam for many years. She was a strong, affectionate, caring person who enjoyed going to Lake George and Friendly�s restaurant with her family. There was nothing she loved more than the company of her loved ones. April is survived by her two sons; Luke Delaney; Jason Gillette both of Chicopee; two daughters; Laura Vieu and her husband Eric of Feeding Hills; Krystle Gillette and her Fianc� Jim Palmarozza of Hamden, CT; two brothers; Jeffrey Newsome of Easthampton; Lance Newsome of Chicopee; her sister; Joyce Newsome of Chicopee and her three adored grandchildren; Summer Boucher; Ryan Vieu and Chase Vieu of Feeding Hills. April also leaves her extended family and many friends to cherish her memory, and will be especially missed by her little canine companion, Stormy. She was also predeceased by three brothers. A visiting hour will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 10-11 AM with an 11:00 AM funeral home service at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
