HOLYOKE- Annette (Carrier) Gingras, 78, a lifelong Holyoke resident and devoted personal care attendant and Hospice provider passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home. She was born in Holyoke on August 7, 1937, a daughter of the late Alfred Sr. and M. Blanche (Bourgeois) Carrier and educated in Holyoke Catholic Schools. Prior to the outstanding end of life care she provided to so many, Annette worked for Springfield Photo Mount for over thirty years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and making others feel comfortable no matter the situation. She is survived by her son, Stephen Gingras and his spouse Sharon of Leicester, MA; her two daughters, Susan Fitzell and her husband, Michael of Manchester, NH; Lisa Mollison and her husband, Richard of Huntington, MA. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren; Shivahn, Ian, Deanna, Karissa, Joshua, Billy, and Nathan; six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She leaves two brothers and four sisters, Robert Carrier of South Hadley; Alfred Carrier, Jr. of Chicopee; Claire Zabecki and Lorette Beaulieu of Holyoke; Joan Malinowski of South Hadley, and Jeannette Devine of Lakeland, FL. Annette now joins her parents and her siblings, Simone Pelletier, Dorothy Bushey, Victor Carrier, and Roger Carrier who have entered eternal rest and peace. Life celebration services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday at 9:30AM from Messier’s and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 435 Maple St., Holyoke. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rt 33 & 202 South Hadley.
