ANA D. RIVERA 1945 � 2011 HOLYOKE- Ana D. Rivera, 66, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Ana was born in Salina, Puerto Rico on January 20, 1945 a daughter of the late Remigio and Angelina (Galarza) Rivera. Ana most recently was a sales woman for Avon and enjoyed being hospitable, helping others and celebrating with family. Ana was always willing to find a bargain at a tag sale and will be missed by her devoted family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Juan Lopez of Holyoke. She leaves her two sons, Juan Lopez and Armando Lopez both of Holyoke; her five daughters, Ana Rivera of Holyoke; Olga Lopez of Holyoke; Elsa Lopez of Puerto Rico; Mirna Rivera of Holyoke; Norma Lopez of Holyoke; two brothers, Pablo Rivera of Utah; Angel Luis Rivera of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Aida Rivera and Aida Luz Rivera as well as her 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visiting hours are Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. A funeral home service and ceremony will be celebrated on Thursday beginning at 9:15 AM in the funeral home with prayers at 10AM. The burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
