Albina Niedzialek

Albina Niedzialek 1918 � 2008 WESTFIELD � Albina (Gonet) Niedzialek, 90, beloved wife of 52 years to the late Edward Niedzialek, Sr., passed away peacefully at Harborside Healthcare of Westfield, surrounded by her family on Monday evening, November 3, 2008. Born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Wojnar) Gonet, she was a long time resident of Holyoke, spending the last five years at Harborside. She was educated in Holyoke and retired from TRW Holyoke Wire and Cable Co. in 1980. In their retirement, Ed and Albina traveled America and Europe, bringing home spoons and tea cups from every trip. She was an avid bowler, a talented ceramics artist and a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. She was deeply committed to her family and friends, including the residents and caring staff of Harborside. She leaves a son, Edward and his wife Anita of Clermont, FL; a daughter, Arlene Coupe of Granby, CT; a sister, Stella Czaporowski and a brother, Edward Gonet both of Chicopee; three grandchildren, Michael and Katherine Coupe and Christopher Niedzialek and his wife Sabrina, and a great grandson, Jacob Daniel. A funeral procession will form at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 8 at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St (RT. 5), Holyoke. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be Friday, November 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
