Adella Mary (Moskal) Beaton, beloved wife of 58 years of Richard Beaton, who predeceased her in 2016, passed away peacefully at Linda Manor in Leeds, MA, at the age of 87. Adella was born on October 31, 1934, in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of John and Bertha (Bohaneck) Moskal. She was raised and educated in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School. Adella was employed as a secretary for several years at Ct. Valley Biological Supply Company in Southampton. She was a former parishioner at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke and was an avid reader. Adella is survived by her daughters, Catherine Beaton, and Rosemary Beaton both of Southampton, sister, Josephine Nartowitz of Holyoke, sister-in-law, Kathleen Beaton of Milford, MA, daughter in law, Linda Wojcik of Chicopee, cherished granddaughter, Alicia Beaton and several nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her son Richard J. Beaton and brother, Maxie Moskal. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 12, for a period of visitation from 1 – 3 p.m. at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 12:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA, followed by committal prayers and burial at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 13990 Main St., Agawam.
