    June 4, 1918 - October 29, 2013

    HOLYOKE- Yvonne A. (Depot) Theroux, 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Wingate at W. Springfield where she was receiving great care and comfort. Yvonne was born in Chicopee on June 4, 1918, a daughter of the late Raoul and Emma (Emmons) and educated in Chicopee Schools. She was primarily a homemaker but worked for over 31 years at Acme Chain Co/U.S. Tsubaki as an assembler retiring in 1981. She married Lionel L. Theroux Jan. 23, 1937 and the couple celebrated over 58 years together before his passing in1995. Yvonne was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, baker and enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, Canada and Florida with family and friends. She was an honest hardworking lady who will be sorely missed by her loving and caring family. Yvonne is survived by her five children: Richard Theroux and his wife Joan of Holyoke; Robert Theroux and his wife Frances of Holyoke; Elaine Carroll and her husband Wayne of Southampton; Lionel �Butch� Theroux and his wife Peggy of Chicopee; Janice Daysh and her husband Robert of Easthampton; two sisters, Edna Mastorakis of Holyoke and Vivian Czupkiewicz of Belchertown. She will be fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who she adored. She was predeceased by 3 brothers and four sisters as well as a grandson, Richard Theroux, Jr. who await her homecoming. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Her funeral will begin on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at 8:30AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Yvonne�s name to: Make a Wish, 181 Park Ave. Suite 12, W.
