    Red C Laflamme

    July 28, 1937 - September 8, 2019

    Tribute RED C. LAFLAMME 1937 - 2019 CHICOPEE- Raymond “Red” Laflamme, 82, passed away on September 8, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Tupper Lake, NY on July 28, 1937 a son of the late George and Emma (Lafontain) Laflamme. He was a longtime roofer of over 30 years and worked for many years at Titan Roofing and Rivet Roofing in Springfield. He also worked for the City of Chicopee School Department as a school crossing guard primarily at McKinstry and Kendall Street for 10 years. Red loved playing guitar, feeding birds and squirrels as well as playing in local country western bands where he also visited nursing homes and the city school children. Red enjoyed watching wrestling, especially Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock and loved gambling and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Delorge) Laflamme of Chicopee; his children and their spouses, Becky Laflamme and Zigmund Corrales of Holyoke; Kim Grace and partner Jerry of Westfield; Joy and Ken Collette of Las Vegas, NV; Jan Baker of Holyoke; Tami and Terry Girardin of Chicopee; Randy and Kerry Deslongchamp of Holyoke; Nancy and Tracy Booth of Chicopee; Robin and Mike Nunziato of Agawam; Tracy and Steiner of Dalton, MA and Tina and Gary LePage of Chicopee. Red also leaves a brother and sister, George Laflamme and his wife Alice of NY and Ruth Laroche of East Longmeadow as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He will be missed by his in laws, Sandy Delorge and Kevin of Agawam. Red was also predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Laflamme and by three siblings, Percy and Leon Laflamme and Annabelle Vieau. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4-7PM with a funeral home service at 6:30PM in Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
