NICHOLAS A. PAPPIS 1989 � 2017 SPRINGFIELD- Nicholas Aristotle Pappis, 27, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Greenfield. He was born in Springfield on December 8, 1989 the beloved son of Brenda Pappis of Springfield and Mark Brumley of Westfield. He was educated locally in West Springfield Schools and later received his GED. He worked in various positions as a cook and lawn maintenance worker, but was most at home in the mountains and being surrounded by the peace of nature. Nicholas was a free spirit and his warmth and personality burned as bright as a shooting star. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Barbara Pappis of W. Springfield; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brumley of Agawam. He will be missed dearly by his two brothers and his sister, Jake and Derek Brumley and Rachel Brumley all of Springfield; his godparents, John Nai of Springfield and Kristy Librera Chapman of W. Springfield as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Griffins Friends, c/o Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St., Spfld, MA 01199. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke with a funeral home celebration at 5 PM.
