Madelyn O�Meara 1917 � 2009 Holyoke � Mrs Madelyn (Brinkman) O�Meara, 92, a lifelong Holyoke resident, died on Monday, October 26 in a local nursing home. She was born in Holyoke on September 2, 1917, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Sheehan) Brinkman. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. She was a member of the Holyoke Firefighters Wives Association and the wife of the late Edward D. O�Meara, Sr. who died August 14, 1995. She is survived by her son, Edward �Ned� O�Meara, Jr. and his wife Claire of San Marcos, CA, her daughter, Barbara O�Meara Moore, and her husband Michael of Bishop, CA. She also leaves two sisters in law, Mildred Brinkman and Grace Hyte both of South Hadley. She will be sadly missed by two grandchildren, Neal O�Meara of New York, New York and Brianne O�Meara of Enfield, CT. Funeral services are Monday, November 2 from the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St (Route 5) Holyoke with a calling hour from 8:30 � 9:30am followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10am at Holy Cross Church. Burial will be in Forestdale Cemetery.
