Leonides Cuevas Ramos

WORCESTER- Leonides Cuevas Ramos, 73, of Holyoke, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at UMASS Memorial Hospital. He was born May 8, 1939, Arecibo, Puerto Rico. A son of the late Margarita (Ramos) and Pedro Cuevas. Leonides was a dedicated self employed Construction worker who worked in New York and Puerto Rico for many years. Leonides will be remembered as a handyman. He loved playing dominos, telling jokes but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family. Leonides leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, David Cuevas, Henry Cuevas, Leonides Cuevas Jr., all of Holyoke; his daughter, Evelyn (Cuevas) Rosado of Holyoke; a brother, Pedro Cuevas Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; his sister, Ramonita Cuevas of Arecibo, PR; his ex-wife Teresa Suarez of Holyoke; his eight adored grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. �Leo� will also be sadly missed by numerous extended family members and friends. He was also predeceased by a brother Juan Bautista Cuevas. Leonides will forever have a special place in hearts and minds of all who knew him to never be forgotten. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. . A Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Messier Funeral Home.
