Leona Pasquini

August 9, 1943 - February 18, 2021

Tribute Leona L. (Kingman) Pasquini (77) passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18 th 2021.  Leona was born in Brockton, Massachusetts to the late John R. Kingman and the late Barbara (Burgess) Gagne.  Leona also had two older brothers who predeceased her, Dennis B. Kingman and James R. Kingman, both of whom she adored.   During her childhood, she and her family moved to Holyoke where she would meet her late husband Anthony Pasquini Jr.  They married when she was just 19 and went on to have two daughters who survive her, Linda L. Carrier and Karen M. Pasquini.  Leona helped with her husband’s construction company by handling the financials for over 30 years.  For a relatively brief time she also worked for the State of Massachusetts in the Welfare Department, however, she was primarily dedicated to taking care of her family.    Generous with her time and guidance, she was devoted to being the best wife and mother she could be.  She was a skilled seamstress and relished in making her daughter’s clothes when they were young.  She enjoyed her vegetable gardens but she especially loved her flower gardens and was always willing to share her plants with whoever appreciated them.  During her husband’s illness, she selflessly devoted all of her time to his care for 5 years without complaint or regret. After his passing, she deeply missed him and never overcame the loss she felt. Speaking as her youngest daughter Karen, my mom and I would like to thank everyone from Ruth’s House, spectrum and Homewatch Caregivers for all of their kindness and support.
