Julian W Dorobisz

Tribute Holyoke- Julian W. Dorobisz, 76, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 31, 2019. He was born in Germany on February 14, 1943 and raised in Poland before coming to the US at the age of 19. He married Kazimiera (Onik) Dorobisz in 1971 and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. Julian was also predeceased by his father Wojciech Dorobisz and a sister Helena Pitry. Julian worked as a machinist at General Cable in South Hadley for several years. Julian enjoyed biking, swimming, bowling, tinkering around the house, gardening especially growing tomato plants and loved spending time with his three adored granddaughters. He will be missed by his mother, Janina Dorobisz; his children: Dorothy Dorobisz of Holyoke; Christopher Dorobisz and his wife Melissa of West Springfield; Peter Dorobisz and his wife Tammy of Holyoke; his granddaughters Andrea Irving-Dorobisz, Sofia Dorobisz, and Emersyn Dorobisz; his brother, Edward Dorobisz and his wife Teresa of Chicopee. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, the Onik Family, and his beloved cats. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 10AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St., Holyoke with the Rite of Committal and Burial to follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley.
