Juan Pedrosa Aponte Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tribute Juan Pedrosa Aponte, 75, of Holyoke, passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to Miguel Pedrosa and Juana Aponte. Juan was both owner and operator of Holyoke Auto Body for over 50 years. He was a member of the Advisory Board of Dean Vocational School, a longtime member of the Holyoke Housing Authority, and was chairman of the latter organization and was also Treasurer. In addition, he served on the Advisory Board and Building Committee of Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke. And in September 1993, then Mayor, William Hamilton appointed Juan to fill the fifth seat on the HHA Board of Commissioners. He is survived by his former wife, Myrna Pedrosa of Holyoke, children, Juan Pedrosa of Puerto Rico, Carlos Pedrosa of Holyoke, David Pedrosa of Canada, Oswaldo Pedrosa, Kelvin Pedrosa, and Christopher Pedrosa all of Holyoke, his companion, Carmen Rosado of Holyoke, brother, Miguel “Tito” Pedrosa of Chicopee; his sisters, Evy Pedrosa of Puerto Rico and Gladys Pedrosa of Agawam; his grandchildren, Gianna “Gigi” Pedrosa, Evan and Christopher Pedrosa, Bret Garcia and Taghe Pedrosa, Charlie Pedrosa, and Johnathan, Daniel, Anthony, and Lori Pedrosa and by several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Carlos Pedrosa. Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Friday September 17, 2021 from 4-7pm at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. Juan’s funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday September 18th starting at 8:30 am at the funeral home, follow by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer St. in Holyoke.
