HOLYOKE- Jose H. �Berto� Duque, 84, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born in Sevilla, Colombia on March 19, 1933, a son of the late Dionisio and Debora (Marin) de Duque. He worked for many years as an industrial mechanic. He was a family man who enjoyed playing Parcheesi and Dominoes. Jose was also a big fan of music, especially salsa. He is survived by his loving wife, Alba (Baralt) de Duque; his children: Zoulange Duque, Luis Duque and his wife Beatriz, Soraya Duque, Shirley Saez-Duque and her husband Freddy, Suray Lujan and her husband Javier, Zuly Rivera-Duque and her husband Jose; his adored grandchildren: Abdul Calderon, Jonathan Duque, Marlon Duque, Leonardo Berrio, Catherine Berrio, Mauricio Berrio, Pedro Berrio, Feliberto Saez, Jenniffer Duque, Stephanie Duque, Nicolas�Cavette, and Bryan�Rivera, as well as his great-grandson Juan David Arango. Jose is also survived by his sister Alicia Duque and his brother Alfonso Gomez. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, Holyoke. His funeral will begin on Tuesday January 16,2018 at 8:45AM from Messier�s and be followed by a liturgy of Cristian burial at 10AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Holyoke. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow in Forestdale West Cemetery, Holyoke.
