Isidro J. Burgos Jr. 1962 � 2010 GREENFIELD � Isidro J. �J.R.� Burgos, Jr., 47, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at home. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin on November 10, 1962 to Isidro J. Burgos, Sr. of Holyoke and the late Maria (Gonzalez) Burgos. J.R. resided in Holyoke for most of his life; he attended Holyoke Schools and worked as a Cook at Mont Marie. Mr. Burgos loved to cook and did some private catering for a short time. He was an avid gardener and truly enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Beside his father, J.R. leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Jermaine Burgos of Holyoke; his daughter, Izary Burgos of Holyoke; his two brothers, David A. Burgos and Daniel Burgos both of Holyoke; his three sisters, Yolanda Gonzalez, Rosa M. Burgos and Misdalia Burgos all of Holyoke. He will also be sadly missed by several nephews, nieces and many extended family members. Beside his mother, J.R. was also predeceased by his brother, William Burgos. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Holyoke. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow the Liturgy in Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA. Memorial contributions, may be made in J.R.�s memory, to a charity of one�s choice.
