Edna Leitl

February 16, 1948 - August 31, 2018

Tribute HOLYOKE- Edna "Cece" (Rabidue) Leitl, 70, of Holyoke, passed away at her home on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018.  She was born in Holyoke on February 16, 1948, a daughter of the late Victor Rabidue Julia McEvady. After graduating high school, Edna raised two beautiful children and owned her own cleaning company. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, outdoor adventures, cooking and baking, and birdwatching. Cece was the "community mom"-she took care of everyone.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Walter Vermette and Nancy Savage. Edna will be missed by her loving children, Mary Ajwala and her husband Tony of Holyoke; Aaron Leitl of California; her grandson, Max Leitl; her siblings, Sylvia Dagenais, Christine Trombley, and Arnold McEvady. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Sheila, Charlotte, Chrissy, Tammy, Pete, Mark, and April, as well as her beloved canine companion, Kahleesi.  Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA. A memorial service will follow at the First Baptist Church, 434 North Pleasant St, Amherst, MA 01002. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in kind to the funeral home.
