Douglas S. Robinson

Tribute Douglas S. Robinson, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 15, 2021. He was a son of the late Charles Edgar Robinson and Virgie (James) Robinson. Douglas proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 20 years. He later worked for Hamilton Standard and Pratt and Whitney as an Inspector. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. He will be missed by his beloved wife of over 61years, Lorraine (Mercure) Robinson; his children, Charles Robinson and his wife Joyce of Chicopee, MA, Charlotte Cook and her husband Richard of North Dakota, and Brenda Marra and her husband Daniel of Ludlow, MA; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and by his sister, Barbara Carter of Norfolk, VA. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edgar Robinson, Emma Pendleton, and Virginia Mackintosh. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 4 - 7 pm at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. A Funeral Home service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 12:15pm at the Messier Funeral Home followed by a Committal services with Military Honors at 2pm in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. in Agawam.
