Tribute   HOLYOKE- Dennis R. Parent, 61, of Holyoke, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center.  He was born on December 22, 1956, a son of the late Edward Sr. and Viola (Cordonnier) Parent. He married the love of his life Brenda (Vermette) Parent on October 11, 1986, and the two just celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage. He was a shipping and receiving supervisor for many years at Ampad. In his spare time, Dennis loved dancing, going to the zoo, camping, birds, and spending time with his children. He was predeceased by his siblings, David and Susan Parent and by his father-in-law Richard Vermette. He will be missed by his beloved wife, Brenda Parent; his children, Crystal Parent of RI; Jennifer Herberger and her husband John of Longmeadow; Dennis Parent of Holyoke; Samantha Bliss and her husband Chris of West Springfield; Eddie Parent of Holyoke; his adored grandchildren, Joey, Jack, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his siblings, Edward Parent of Springfield; Alan Parent of Springfield; Mark Parent and his wife Debbie of Chicopee; Linda Laurin and her husband Bob of Belchertown; Joanne Krusz and her husband Tony of Chicopee; Diane Manzi and her husband Phil of Holyoke; Judy Nadeau of Holyoke; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA with a funeral home service at 6:00PM.
