Darlene M Lefebvre

South Hadley- Darlene M. Lefebvre, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was born in Holyoke on February 21, 1948, a daughter of the late Roger and Hazel (Leeming) Gelinas. Darlene loved caring for others; she worked as a family support coordinator at Abilities Unlimited for 17 years. In Darlene�s spare time she enjoyed knitting, reading, WWII history, and traveling. She was the president of the Friendship Circle at the United Congregational Church. She will be missed at the friendship circle weekly potluck dinners and at her annual family picnics. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Al Lefebvre of South Hadley; her son Robert Lefebvre of South Hadley; her daughter Kristen Lefebvre Stafford and her husband Chris of Ijamsville, Maryland; and her two adored grandchildren Reese and Harper Stafford of Ijamsville, Maryland. She also leaves her brother, Bruce Gelinas of South Hadley; her aunt, Eileen Gelinas of Springfield, as well as many loving cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Gelinas. Life Celebration hours will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016, from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Friends and family are asked to gather on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, for a funeral home service at 10:30AM with the Morkin pastoral team celebrating.
