    February 17, 1932 - February 18, 2019

    Tribute   ANTHONY S. BRIN 1932-2019 SOUTH HADLEY- Anthony S. Brin, of South Hadley, passed away peacefully at his home just after his 87th birthday on February 18, 2019. He was born in Easthampton on February 17, 1932, a son of the late Alvaraze and Mary (Stefanski) Brin. He was educated in Holyoke and later proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Tony married the love of his life, Barbara (LaRocque) Brin, on June 14, 1952, who survives him.  He worked for over 34 years as a lab technician for Technifax (later Scott Graphics/James River Graphics). He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, gardening, and dancing. Tony was a proud commander for the VFW #3104 and treasurer for the American Legion #260.  He was also a member of the South Hadley Sportsmens Club.Tony will be dearly missed by his children, Terie Fleury and her husband Rick of South Hadley; Linda Hagan of Orleans; Tonie Laliberte and her husband Peter of Ponte Verda Beach, FL; his adored grandchildren, Emily Hagan; Wesley Hagan; Ashley Wojnarowski; Chloe Stomski and her husband Anthony; Spencer Laliberte, Blake Laliberte, and Kurtis Laliberte, and a great-grandchild on the way, Stanley Anthony Stomski. He also leaves his sister, Marie Brodowski, and a huge family of loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 11 siblings. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1-4PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. His funeral will begin at 9:45AM on Monday, February 25, 2019 from Messier’s with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at 1PM in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony’s name may be made to the Shriners’ Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. For more details please visit www.messierfuneralhome.com.
