Tribute ANNE (MORRIS) MESSIER 1937 – 2019 HOLYOKE- Anne M. Messier, 82 passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. She was born in Holyoke on July 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Franklin and Anna (Mahoney) Morris. She was a longtime secretary for Messier Funeral Home in Holyoke as an integral part of the business alongside her late husband, Clement A. Messier who predeceased her on June 28, 2014. She enjoyed spending time with family in Holyoke and Cape Cod. She will be missed dearly by her two daughters, Laurie Messier-Ferreira and her husband Jeff of Longmeadow; Lennie Messier-Finn and her husband John of Holyoke and by her son, David Messier of Spokane, WA. Anne will be remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Emilie Ferreira Czupryna and her husband Mike; Taylor Kennedy Finn, Anthony Clement Ferreira, Caleb Rhys Wilkie, Camryn Wilkie, Shaelyn Wilkie, Christopher David Messier and by her great granddaughter, Amiya Mattei Finn. She also leaves a brother and sister, Franklin A. Morris and his wife Betty of Wilmington, NC and K. Gretchen Morris of Holyoke. Anne was also predeceased by a sister Mary K. Sullivan. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 6-8PM at Messier Funeral Home. Friends are also invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10AM in Our Lady of the Cross Church and followed by the burial in St. Jerome Cemetery.
