    March 19, 1932 - July 9, 2011

    Anita L. Busby 1932 � 2011 HOLYOKE � Anita L. (Brunault) Busby, 79, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Holyoke on March 19, 1932 to the late Ernest W. Brunault Sr. and Veronica (Barut) Brunault. Anita attended Our Lady of the Rosary in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School. She married James E. Busby, Jr. on October 12, 1954. Anita traveled around the world as an Air Force wife. They lived abroad in Casablanca, Morocco, Madrid, Spain, Ankara, Turkey and many places in the United States. She retired from AT&T after thirty years of service. In her later years, she enjoyed working as a volunteer and traveling with her dear friend Jane Mack. She leaves on this earth to cherish her memory, her children, Diane Maxwell and her husband Russell of Delhi, N.Y., Denise Lynch and her husband George of Farmington, MI, John Busby and his wife Debora of Lecanto, FL, Joseph Busby, Sr. of Westfield, MA, Katherine Whittaker and her husband Eric of Delhi, N.Y. and James Busby III and his wife Karen of Polk City, FL; her two brothers, Ernest W. Brunault Jr. and Harold Brunault and his wife Paula all of Holyoke; her twenty-one grandchildren and step-grandchildren; her six great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral procession will form on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. Holyoke. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow the Liturgy in Calvary Cemetery in Holyoke. Calling hours will be Friday, July 22, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anita�s memory to either Providence Ministries/Kate�s Kitchen, 51 Hamilton St. Holyoke, MA 01040 or to Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St. Holyoke, MA 01040.
