Anastasia Rostankowska

HOLYOKE- Anastasia (Krawic) Rostankowska, 91, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at her home in Holyoke. She was a longtime resident and faithful communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church for over 50 years and communicant of Our Lady of the Cross Parish. She was born in Poland a daughter of the late Paul and Sophia Krawic and came to the United States as a brave young woman with hopes of a new beginning. She married Anthony Rostankowski her beloved husband who later died in September of 1970. Anastasia raised her family of five children and was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, knitting, family cookouts, listening to Polish music and was a woman of great faith and strong beliefs. She is survived by her two sons, Casmir Rostankowski and Frank Rostankowski both of Holyoke; her three daughters, Sophia Lozinski and her husband Christopher, Sr of Enfield; Frances Janicki and her husband John of Holyoke and Theresa Fanaris of Holyoke. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren, Jacqueline Cote, Marc Janicki, Bernadette Lozinski, Christopher Lozinski, Jr, Peter and David Fanaris; 6 great grandchildren and also is survived by several extended family members locally and in Poland. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 10AM in Our Lady of the Cross Parish, Holyoke and followed by the Rite of Committal and Burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, So.
